Beixin City. It was a city expanded from the original Beigang County, divided by a straight railway line.
Every year, tens of thousands of tons of coal were shipped out to various regions along this very railway. The largest producer was the Beigang Coal Mine, east of the tracks.
It practically supported more than half of the city's population. It was also where Xu Qiguang had first started working, though he was now at the Beixin Mining Bureau, west of the tracks.
The Beigang Coal Mine was, in a sense, a subordinate unit of the Mining Bureau. This meant that Xu Qiguang's job had indeed changed over the past twenty years, and he hadn't remained in the same post.
The next day, Shen Weimin was unable to make the trip after all. The reason was that on this particular Sunday, his father-in-law was neither at the Mining Bureau nor at his old workplace, the Beigang Coal Mine.
