With Aunt Zhao's approval, what more was there to say?
Lu Yuan led his wife back to the central courtyard.
First things first, he had to get the Underground Heating System in the East Wing sorted out.
He took the seven or eight men he had brought back from the main residence and also called over a dozen or so guards.
First, they moved everything out of the East Wing, including the large batch of books brought from their home in Shige Village, into the West Wing.
With that, the East Wing was completely empty.
The next part was simple: just dig.
They started by digging a large, one-meter-deep pit in the north corner of the East Wing.
This was where the furnace would be placed.
Then, inside the room, they dug a main flue trench running from south to north, starting from the furnace in the corner. It was to be about twenty centimeters wide and fifty centimeters deep.
This main flue would run through the entire room.
