Following Doctor Li's advice, Daoist Sun drank some hot congee and tucked himself into bed early.
During the night, he broke out in a heavy sweat that soaked right through his pajamas.
But he didn't feel weak. Instead, he felt as if the heavy feeling in his body had been flushed out along with the sweat.
「The next morning.」
Sunlight streamed into the room through the curtains.
Daoist Sun's eyes snapped open, and his first instinct was to take a deep breath.
"HIIISSS... WHOOOSH..."
The air flowed smoothly through his nasal passages, all the way down into his lungs.
The suffocating sense of blockage was gone. And... he could even smell the faint scent of air freshener in the hotel room.
"Holy shit, it's clear! It's really clear!"
Daoist Sun leaped out of bed in excitement, rushed into the bathroom, and stared at his reflection in the mirror.
His complexion, which had been somewhat dark and sallow from the chronic nasal congestion, now had a healthy, ruddy glow.
