Xu Qing's vision returned to normal. He had entered the space within the Dao Suppression Tower and now stood on its first layer, surveying his surroundings.

The scene around him came into view: a boundless, desolate plain. It was completely uninhabited, and he couldn't sense any auras. Instead, immense tombstones towered over the landscape, piercing the sky.
Upon closer inspection, he saw that each tombstone bore an epitaph and the name of its owner. They were none other than the Shushan Elders of the Shushan Sacred Land, one after another, all laid to rest here.
"Venerable ancestors, I, Xu Qing, the new Sect Leader of Shushan, have come to pay my respects. Please forgive me for any disturbance."
Xu Qing cupped his fists and bowed.
All around him was complete silence.
