The two of them ran home, hung the fish outside the back window to let it freeze, then rushed to the movie theater.
They had been seated for less than a minute when the movie began.

People from all the surrounding villages had gathered on the threshing ground to watch it.
The haystacks and tree branches were packed with people.
It was incredibly lively.
The city was much more subdued. There were only forty or fifty people in the screening room, all sitting primly in their seats.
Cecilia Adler glanced around—left, right, then behind her. As she turned her gaze forward again, her eyes met Vivian Lee's, who was sitting right in front of her.
And next to Vivian Lee was Felix Flynn.
Vivian Lee stared, stunned for a moment. "What are you doing here?" she asked in surprise. 'Did Ian bring her?'
