The next day, Cecilia Adler opened her eyes to find she was alone in the room.
There was an extra quilt on the bed, right at the edge. It was clearly Ian Quincy's.
'He actually didn't get under the covers with me. A true gentleman, indeed.'
Cecilia Adler got up, folded the quilt, and saw new toiletries on the table. She took them and went out to wash her face and brush her teeth.
When she returned, Ian Quincy was in the room. Seeing her, he took out a bottle of vanishing cream. "This is for you."
Cecilia Adler sighed internally. 'He's surprisingly thoughtful.'
She applied it to her face and used the little that was left on her hands.
