Ronan Shaw stared intently at her. "I've always respected and trusted you, so why did you use me to offend Cecilia? And now you're here making such glib remarks. What are you up to? Did Cecilia hit a nerve when she said you were hiding a photo of our younger uncle's wife, causing you to fly into a rage to cover it up? Otherwise, why would you hit her?"
His father had told him that his younger uncle and aunt, being fraternal twins, had eaten and lived together since childhood, only separating after they graduated elementary school.
They told each other everything. It was just like his relationship with his second cousin—they were close in age, and they'd talk about everything from crushes to which classmates they couldn't stand.
