"Sometimes I remember things, and other times I don't," Cecilia said. "A smell I hate one day, I'll suddenly find pleasant the next. My writing habits are inconsistent, too. The punctuation I use changes. This condition of mine is pretty regular. It flares up at the beginning of the month. For those few days, my behavior and habits are completely different from usual. It's like I become a totally different person."
"It sounds like schizophrenia-related hallucinations. I'll prescribe you some medication. If your symptoms don't improve, come back for a follow-up." The doctor paused for a moment before adding, "Psychiatric medications are ones we have to source externally, so they're rather expensive. A box is sixty-six."
