"Someone has to be there to bury you, you know. It'd be too bleak otherwise."
"Bury me or don't. I'll be dead anyway."
Cecilia Adler found she couldn't argue with that. "I still want you to come with me. My boyfriend agrees, and his father said it's all up to me."
"They're that good to you? Was it that Li person who found you this match?" the old lady asked, as if to confirm.
"Mhm."
"Finally did one good thing," the old lady said. "I went to Valoria back during the war. The winters there are too cold, the summers are too hot, and the spring and autumn are dry and arid. I can't get used to it. The winters here are cold, sure, but not like negative ten or twenty degrees. In the middle of summer, when the evening breeze blows and you're eating wild melons... you can't imagine how wonderful that is."
