"This place you found for me is quite nice. The back window has a wide view and a lively, lived-in feel. And this little kitchenette in the room is just perfect."
"I fell in love with this place the moment I saw it. You can see the view from the front, too. In the washroom area, the floor is concrete, so it won't get slippery even when it's wet. The kitchenette was Ian's idea. He said it wasn't sanitary to leave pots and pans outside, so he built a rack inside for them. He was worried you might get carbon monoxide poisoning from burning charcoal, so he made a special trip to cut a vent in the wall, covering the opening with a mesh screen to keep out dust and insects."
The old lady nodded in praise. "He's very thoughtful."
After Cecilia Adler got the old lady settled in, she took out the gifts she had bought beforehand and gave them to the neighbors, asking them to look out for the old lady.
The neighbors accepted the small gifts and were very accommodating.
