They arrived at their destination.
Cecilia Adler and Ian Quincy got out of the car to unload their luggage.
His parents appeared one after the other.
His mother took what Cecilia was carrying. "Cecilia, you just watch the things here."
"Okay."
Her father-in-law shot her a glare and muttered, "Useless girl!" before walking off with his wife.
Cecilia was stunned. What had she done to him?
The driver took the opportunity to speak to Cecilia. "If I'd known your family was this well-off, I would've charged you more last time." He eyed the large gate, the spacious courtyard, and the big house. He probably couldn't afford it even if he worked his whole life.
Cecilia snapped out of her daze and asked curiously, "Isn't the transport team state-run? Won't your bosses punish you for taking on so many private jobs?"
"What? You going to report me? I do this in my off-hours. As long as it doesn't interfere with official business, no one can punish me."
