On the way, Cecilia learned about Sharon Lockwood's family through their conversation.
Her grandparents were still alive and well.
Her parents worked at a food factory. She had two older brothers; the eldest was already working and married, while the second had just started his job. She herself was a sophomore at a teacher's college.
"I've told you so much about myself," Sharon said. "It's your turn, isn't it? That way I'll know what to say when my family asks about you later."
"There's no need to mention my home address, since you already know it." Cecilia only revealed the basic details about her husband's family.
"What about your parents?"
Cecilia's lips tightened. "My mother died in childbirth."
"Oh, I'm so sorry." Sharon quickly dropped the subject.
"It's okay."
