Cecilia Adler paused, her chopsticks hovering over a dish. After a moment of thought, she replied, "What about a red dress? I see a lot of girls wearing them on the street." She had considered buying one for herself, but her program was mostly men. Her only three female classmates dressed like men every day due to work regulations.
If she were to stand out from the crowd, she would surely become the center of attention and gossip.
Besides, Teacher Kent was a man, and it would be too awkward to be walking around in front of him in a dress.
Aunt Ford then added, "That girl has a very dark complexion. Red definitely wouldn't look good on her."
