"Thank you, Chloe." This was a heartfelt thanks; not many friends would go that far.
"Don't mention it. I just hope you'll take better care of yourself from now on, Nora."
Nora Ainsworth was deeply moved. "It's impossible to guard against everything, but I'll do my best to protect myself."
The two of them pulled apart, and Nora Ainsworth looked at Herman Hawthorne. "Boss, I've brought shame to you. I learned all those martial arts, but I didn't even get to use them."
Herman Hawthorne waved his hand dismissively. "When you get back, have Quentin give you a lady's handgun to carry, just in case."
Ethan Ellsworth grinned mischievously. "Quentin already gave his girl a real gun. Why does she need another one?"
