In the Quinn family's main hall, Sienna Hale stood beside Clara Grant. She looked at her and called out, "Clara..." She seemed to want to say something, but then she glanced at Seth Quinn and Theodore Quinn. It was as if their presence made her too embarrassed to speak.
Theodore Quinn knew his wife well. He immediately called out to Seth Quinn, "Come on, go upstairs with Dad. Help me see if my recent calligraphy has improved."
Seth Quinn was perceptive and naturally understood that his mother wanted to talk to Clara alone. His father was just helping his mother get him out of the way.
He understood that his mother had always looked down on Clara because of her background. The misunderstanding between the two of them could only be truly resolved if they talked it out themselves.
So, he nodded and followed Theodore Quinn upstairs.
Once they were upstairs, Sienna Hale took Clara Grant's hand and sat down with her on the sofa.
