Several mahogany round tables were neatly arranged inside the banquet hall. At this point, the tables were already ringed with members of the Sterling family.
Aurora Sterling's grandfather had been the second of three sons in the Sterling family. Only Aurora's grandfather had passed away; the other two, despite being in their seventies, were still hale and hearty.
Aurora had always called her grandfather's older brother "Great-Uncle" and his younger brother "Third Grand-Uncle." The two old men were now seated in the seats of honor, their wives beside them. Further down sat the elders' sons, daughters, and grandchildren.
The other tables were occupied by more distant relatives of the Sterling family, people they had even less contact with on a regular basis.
Upon seeing the Great-Uncle and Third Grand-Uncle, Mrs. Sterling smiled. "Big Brother, Third Brother, sorry to have kept you waiting."
Timothy Sterling nodded respectfully to the two elders. "First Uncle, Third Uncle."
