Aurora Sterling, arm in arm with Master Fletcher, walked all the way to the back door of The Zephyr. Exiting through it led them into a dim, damp back alley.
All the while, the girl maintained a sweet, coy smile. The sight left Master Fletcher utterly captivated, and he couldn't help but quicken his steps.
The alley was secluded. Not far off, several large dumpsters stood, emitting a foul stench from the assorted garbage inside.
The narrow path was slick with filthy water that had leaked from the dumpsters.
Master Fletcher's brow furrowed, his face a mask of disgust. He clearly wasn't a fan of this place. "Why did we have to come here? It's smelly and dark—a total mood killer."
Aurora Sterling giggled flirtatiously, her beautiful eyes seeming all the more brilliant as they reflected the faint starlight. "I think it's perfect here. Dark enough, quiet enough, and no one to disturb us."
