The Sterling family was stunned by the butler's words.
"Who did you say is coming to see me?" Mrs. Sterling asked, sounding uncertain.
"A young man. He says he's Miss Aurora's fiancé," the butler repeated.
"Aurora's fiancé? Damien Valerius is here?" Mrs. Sterling's eyes widened as she shot a surprised look at Timothy Sterling.
Timothy Sterling hadn't expected Damien Valerius to come, either. After all, their family had just returned from the Valerius estate. Who would have thought Damien would follow right on their heels?
Mrs. Sterling glanced at the two other family branches in the living room, who were there to call them to account. A wide smile instantly blossomed on her face. "Convenient! Of course, it's convenient! Show him in, quickly!"
Having received Mrs. Sterling's order, the butler hurried out to welcome their guest.
