Timothy Sterling's eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness of his confinement, and he could faintly make out some shapes. There seemed to be something not far from him. He subconsciously assumed it was Aurora Sterling and mustered all his strength to wriggle in that direction.
However, when he got up close, he saw it wasn't Aurora Sterling at all, but a motionless man.
The man had been leaning against the wall, but at Timothy Sterling's touch, he slumped to the ground, completely unresponsive.
Timothy Sterling was thoroughly terrified, thinking the man was dead.
He scrambled to move in another direction, only to bump into three other men, all equally unresponsive.
Timothy Sterling's eyes flew open, nearly scared to death. Muffled gasps of alarm escaped his lips as he ignored the pain in his body and scrambled toward the opposite wall.
