'Why did they have to treat her like this?'
It was only then that everyone else present noticed something was off about Aurora Sterling. They stared at her, unable to understand why she would say such a thing.
"Friends? Who's friends with you!" Lisa let out a cold, mocking laugh. "At this point, there's no reason to hide it anymore. Let me tell you something, Aurora Sterling. Do you have any idea what you looked like back in high school? A total freakshow, you know? Nobody at school wanted to be seen with you. The moment they saw you, they couldn't get away fast enough, terrified of getting dragged into your mess."
Oblivious to the situation, Lisa strutted forward arrogantly. "If your cousin, Sharon Dalton, hadn't paid us to hang out with you, do you really think we'd be willing to take you anywhere? She even promised she'd put in a good word for our families with the Sterling elders and help us get in with the Sterling Family, all just for letting you tag along."
