Donovan now remembered who Damien Valerius was. He had seen Damien dropping Aurora Sterling off for the college entrance exams.
"You paid our bill, didn't you?" Donovan asked with a smile, the young girls from his class chattering excitedly behind him.
Damien Valerius gave a slight nod. "It's just a small gesture. Thank you, Donovan, and all of you for looking after my Aurora."
Aurora Sterling pouted. 'The way Damien talks, you'd think he was my parent.'
Seeing her pout, Damien Valerius reached out and placed his large hand on the nape of her neck, the pad of his index finger stroking it gently.
The girls in the class were already completely captivated by Damien's words and the way he placed his hand on Aurora's neck. Involuntary gasps of admiration escaped their lips.
