Nancy Nash deliberately emphasized the word "brothers" as she looked pleadingly at Liam Valerius.
Liam Valerius froze. He stiffly pulled back his hand and glared at the equally incensed Dylan Valerius. "You just wait!"
In the Valerius family, Dylan Valerius had been spoiled rotten by Nancy Nash since childhood. He was the youngest son, born to the family patriarch in his later years, and on top of that, he always had Liam Valerius's special protection. Aside from the patriarch himself, virtually everyone in the Valerius family put Dylan on a pedestal.
Aside from the brawls Dylan got into on his own, no one at the Valerius Residence would have dared to lay a finger on him. Not even the patriarch had ever truly laid a hand on him as punishment.
So, for Liam to have slapped him so hard was something Dylan found difficult to accept.
