After Jameson Valerius arrived in Portcove, an unsettling silence followed. There was no word from Marcus Marsh or Liam Valerius, and certainly no news of Aurora Sterling being kidnapped. A guilty and anxious Nancy Nash tried calling Marcus Marsh several times, but the calls never connected. With Jameson there, she didn't dare contact Liam directly, terrified of complicating things further. Her only option was to call Jameson under the guise of concern, but he didn't pick up either.
Just like that, Nancy Nash had lost all contact with her people in Portcove. Desperate, she had no choice but to call Marcus Marsh's wife, only to learn that he hadn't been home for a day and a night. His wife couldn't reach him either.
