Hearing Thomas Valerius's voice, Liam Valerius seemed momentarily dazed. "Oh, Thomas. It's you."
As he spoke, Thomas Valerius was already by Liam Valerius's side. "I came out for some fresh air. Staying cooped up in a room all the time isn't good for your health."
Liam Valerius took a drag from his cigarette. "It's windy today. Can you handle it, in your condition? You should probably head back soon. We wouldn't want you getting sent back before the Old Master's birthday banquet has even started."
A cold glint flashed deep in Thomas Valerius's eyes, but it vanished in an instant. When Liam Valerius looked over, Thomas's face still wore a gentle smile. "It's fine. I'm not that fragile."
Hearing him say this, Liam Valerius gave a perfunctory nod and said nothing more, simply continuing to smoke by himself.
"Brother, you don't seem to be in a good mood. Did something happen? Tell me about it. Maybe I can help you think it through," Thomas Valerius said.
