The man's gaze deepened. Forcing himself on, he quickly walked into the bathroom and shut the door.
The sound of the door shutting snapped Aurora Sterling back to her senses. She glanced at the bathroom door before walking over to the sofa and sitting down. She picked up the book Damien Valerius had been halfway through and began to read it idly.
She had only meant to glance at it, but before she knew it, Aurora was completely engrossed. When she finally looked up at the time, she realized more than forty minutes had passed.
Aurora's brow furrowed slightly. She stood up and walked to the bathroom door.
Usually, Damien only took about twenty minutes for a quick shower. He was clearly in there for a while today.
"Are you done?" Aurora asked softly from the doorway, but there was no response from inside the bathroom.
Aurora's brow furrowed deeply, and she tensed up. She reached for the bathroom door, only to find that Damien had locked it from the inside.
'Something's wrong!'
