Sylvia Vaughn looked a bit dazed as she watched Joanna Jacobs follow Yvonne Vaughn through the entryway. After a simple greeting, she made an excuse about needing to finish a design project for a holiday assignment and went back to her room.
After their last few encounters, the Vaughn family had all noticed that Sylvia Vaughn's attitude toward Joanna Jacobs had changed.
Previously, Yvonne or her aunt might have asked about it, wondering what was wrong with Sylvia and why she was suddenly no longer close with Joanna. But ultimately, the Vaughn family hadn't taken it too seriously.
But this time, Sylvia's aloofness was so obvious that it made the rest of the Vaughn family suspicious.
"Joanna, what's going on between you and Sylvia?" Yvonne Vaughn asked curiously while changing her shoes.
Joanna Jacobs finished changing her shoes, placed her own pair unhurriedly on the shoe rack, and then said with a smile, "I'm not sure, either."
