Laura Lowell was in a VIP hospital room. Other than some medical equipment, it was no different from being at home.
Hannah Hale poured a glass of water in the kitchen. "Are you hungry? I can go out and bring you back some light porridge."
"No, it's okay. I don't have an appetite."
Laura Lowell took a few sips of water, then grabbed the remote from the nearby cabinet and turned on the TV.
"How can you not be curious about what Dr. Shaw is up to? What's so interesting on TV?"
As Hannah Hale spoke, she snatched the remote from Laura Lowell's hand and promptly turned the TV off.
Laura Lowell suppressed a laugh. 'I knew she wouldn't be able to keep it to herself.' "Weren't you the one who said you wouldn't say anything?"
"Your Dr. Shaw is fighting with that Vivian Yardley because of you. Who knows if he's gotten hurt?"
Hannah Hale intentionally dragged out her tone, emphasizing the word "hurt."
