Before Laura Lowell had a chance to explain, Zachary Redgrave poked her hard on the forehead. "Are you an idiot? You just let him take advantage of you like that?"
Laura Lowell speechlessly rubbed her sore forehead. "I'm a patient, you know. Could you be a little gentler? That really hurt."
"So you *do* feel pain, huh? You're so clueless you didn't even know if there was mango in the cake. I give up on you."
Laura Lowell pouted. "Fine, I'm clueless. Happy now?"
Zachary Redgrave ignored Laura Lowell and turned to Aiden Shaw, his expression unfriendly. "Do you have designs on her?"
Aiden Shaw slipped his hands into the pockets of his white lab coat and nodded calmly. "Yes."
"Heh. At least you're honest."
Zachary Redgrave clasped his hands behind his back, sizing up Aiden Shaw with a scrutinizing gaze, every bit the concerned parent.
"He's handsome enough, I guess, but definitely not more handsome than me…"
