Aiden Shaw approached Laura Lowell with a faint smile, taking the backpack from her shoulders and holding it in his hand.
Laura Lowell stared at him, a little dumbfounded. "What's this all about?"
"I'm going hiking with you."
The man's smile was as brilliant as the galaxy, his entire expression overflowing with adoration.
For a moment, Laura Lowell thought she must have misheard him. 'How did he know I was going hiking?'
'Could it be that boss of hers, the one who's been acting so strange lately?'
"How did you know I was going hiking?"
The two of them walked toward the elevator, and Aiden Shaw pressed the button. "Your boss called and invited me. He said he was worried you all might get hurt on the mountain and that he'd feel better if a doctor was around."
Laura Lowell stepped into the elevator, her eyes scrutinizing the man beside her.
'He couldn't have bribed her boss, could he? After all, it's not like her boss is short on cash.'
