Laura took the fruit platter, speared a piece of apple, and put it in Aiden Shaw's mouth. "You should go back to work tomorrow. Peach said she'll come over during the day to take care of me."
"I'm worried."
"I'm not a three-year-old. What's there to worry about? Besides, the hospital is so busy. It's not good for you to keep taking time off."
Aiden Shaw glanced at her, the pad of his thumb gently caressing her hand. "You really don't want to be with me that much?"
"Aiden Shaw, are you doing this on purpose? You know perfectly well that's not what I meant."
Aiden Shaw's lips curved into a faint smile. He then leaned over and kissed Laura Lowell on the forehead. "Alright, I'll go to the hospital tomorrow."
