Flustered, she quickly set down her water glass, turned around, and hopped toward the bedroom with her head down. "I'm fine, you should go back to your room and sleep."
Perhaps because she was too nervous, Laura Lowell lost her footing and her body tilted backward.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Aiden Shaw caught the girl. "That was close. You trying to scare me to death?"
Their current pose was straight out of a TV show.
Laura Lowell clutched at her chest, where her nightgown gaped slightly, her simple, pretty face flushed crimson.
Aiden Shaw simply swept the girl up into his arms, bridal style, and strode toward the bedroom. "I already saw everything last time when I helped you change your clothes."
