Ethan Shaw glanced at his older brother's instantly cold face and scurried over to Laura Lowell. "Sister-in-law, I'm begging you, please don't ever call me 'Boss' again, okay?"
Laura Lowell cleared her throat and smiled awkwardly. "Then... what should I call you?"
"Ethan. Just call me Ethan."
"Well... okay."
Laura Lowell could only offer a reluctant agreement. Her boss suddenly turning into her younger brother-in-law was a rather huge twist.
'She needed to take this slow and process it.'
"Alright, you go sit in the living room for a bit. I'll call you when dinner's ready."
His tone was so dismissive, as if Ethan Shaw were completely irrelevant.
As soon as he said that, Aiden Shaw took Laura Lowell by the hand and led her to the kitchen.
He had originally planned to let her rest while he cooked, but now Ethan Shaw had shown up uninvited. He was worried Laura would feel awkward and uncomfortable if he left her to sit in the living room with Ethan.
