"Make sure she eats something, or her stomach will start to hurt."
"Got it. Now get out of here."
Zachary waved his hand impatiently and strode into the dressing room.
Hearing the door open, Laura secretly wiped her face, which had been buried in her knees, and tried to compose herself.
"You can't live on air. You'll be starving if you don't eat. Laura Lowell, get up and have some food."
Zachary sat on the sofa and pried Laura's head up. "Have you been crying?"
"No, I'm really not hungry."
Laura rested her head on Zachary's shoulder, and the tears she had fought so hard to hold back threatened to spill over again.
Yvonne Sloan handed her a tissue. "Laura, what in the world happened between you and Shaw?"
"We're fine. Let's all eat. The food's going to get cold."
Laura took the tissue, fighting to keep her tears from falling.
Zachary sighed, stood up from the sofa, and grabbed Laura's hand, pulling her out the door.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!"
