The group was chatting cheerfully when the phone Laura Lowell had left on the table suddenly rang. It was a call from Jolene Joyce.
"Jolene, is something wrong?"
"Peach was in a car accident. She's in the hospital undergoing surgery right now."
Jolene's anxious, worried voice came through the phone.
The color instantly drained from Laura Lowell's face. "I'll be right there."
After hanging up, Laura Lowell frantically pulled on her coat. "Peach was in a car accident. I have to get to the hospital."
"How serious is it? We'll go with you."
Hannah Hale and Zachary Redgrave also hurried to get their coats, and the three of them drove to the hospital together.

At the hospital, Laura Lowell stepped anxiously out of the elevator. "Jolene, how is Peach?"
"Dr. Shaw is operating on her. He hasn't come out yet."
