Laura Lowell leaned her head against the back of the seat, her clear eyes dimming slightly. "That man is Hannah Hale's husband, Nathan Redgrave. He's already a married man and still can't behave himself. What a complete and utter scumbag."
"I feel so bad for poor Hannah. I don't even know if I should tell her."
Laura Lowell was truly torn, afraid her friend would be inconsolably heartbroken if she found out.
But if she didn't say anything, she'd feel like she was protecting that scumbag.
Aiden Shaw glanced sideways at the worried girl, took his right hand off the steering wheel, and intertwined his fingers with hers. "It's best to let them sort out their own relationship issues. We shouldn't get involved."
Laura Lowell watched the streetscape rushing by outside the window, lost in thought.
The car soon stopped in front of a restaurant. Aiden Shaw got out, walked around the front of the car, opened the passenger door, and led her by the hand into the restaurant.
