Aiden Shaw held her hand all the way out of the restaurant. Once they were in the car, he leaned over and helped her fasten her seatbelt. "Let's go get our marriage license right now, okay?"
His lips lightly brushed against Laura Lowell's chin. They were so close their breaths mingled.
Laura Lowell's breath hitched, her eyelashes fluttering. The way her heart pounded left her with no defenses against him.
"Okay. But getting our license is a big deal. I have to go home and get my parents' permission first."
"I'll go with you."
Aiden Shaw planted a loving kiss on the corner of Laura's mouth before straightening up, settling back into the driver's seat, and driving off.
