Hannah Hale bit her lip, choosing her words carefully before speaking again. "Mom, I'm serious about the divorce. It's not an impulsive decision, and I hope you can understand. As for Nathan Redgrave's money, I won't take a single cent. I'll move out of his house tomorrow."
"Holy shit, Hannah Hale, are you an idiot? He took you when you were a perfectly fine young woman and turned you into a divorcée. Why the hell wouldn't you take his money? You've earned it."
Frustrated with her, Zachary Redgrave ruffled Hannah Hale's hair. He'd seen people fight tooth and nail over assets in a divorce, but he'd never seen anyone so eager to walk away with nothing.
Nathan Redgrave's gaze tightened as he looked at Hannah Hale, a strange feeling suddenly stirring in his heart.
"I agree to the divorce. I'll give you a share of the assets."
"I won't take a single cent of your money. Just remember to be at the Civil Affairs Bureau at nine tomorrow morning."
