Hannah Hale turned around, helped Morgan Joyce sit up slowly, and tucked a pillow behind his back. "If I wasn't worried, would I have rushed over in a panic the second your assistant called me?"
"I finally got a day off today. I was planning to sleep the day away, but now look at me. I have to come take care of an invalid. Between the two of us, who's the real heartless one?"
A faint smile touched Morgan's pale lips as he looked at her, carrying a hint of barely perceptible fondness. "Fine, I'm the heartless one, alright?"
"Of course you are."
Hannah brought the bowl of porridge over and handed it to Morgan. "You just had some gastric bleeding, so you can't eat anything too greasy. Have some porridge for now."
"Mm. Have you eaten?"
"I already ate. You eat slowly. It's best to have small, frequent meals. Just let me know when you get hungry, and I'll go get you something else."
