Nathan Redgrave, who had been following right behind Hannah Hale, was suddenly sucked forward by a powerful force, and then he lost consciousness.
"Dr. Hale, he... he's alive again."
The nurse who had just announced the time of death stammered.
Hannah Hale glanced at the heart monitor, which had started beeping again. "Prep for surgery, now."
"Yes, Dr. Hale."
By the time the surgery was over, it was already past two in the morning. Looking at the patient she had finally snatched from the jaws of death, Hannah Hale let out a sigh of relief.
"Move him to the ICU in a bit. I'm going to get some sleep. If anything happens, call me immediately."
"Understood, Dr. Hale. You go get some rest."
Hannah Hale nodded, stripped off her disposable gloves, and walked out of the operating room, heading straight back to her office.
