Sang Zhi pried her hand away. "I'm not scared."
"It's better if kids don't watch," Ye Qianning insisted, her small hand firm.
"You're the kid here! If you're not scared, then I'm not either." Sang Zhi turned his head. 'She's obviously only six years old, and she's calling *me* young.'
"You're different from me."
"How are we different?"
"I'm not telling you."
Ye Qianning looked back at the fight.
Qin Huai still hadn't figured out what Ye Qianning's earlier glance meant. He looked up just in time to see one of the two assassins fall dead. He didn't need to guess; the other one wasn't getting away either.
His mind raced as he desperately sought a way to survive.
Seeing his partner fall, the other assassin panicked. He was driven back by a flurry of Sword Qi, and as soon as he found his footing, he tried to flee.
But the more he feared, the more he panicked, and his movements became sloppy. His death was certain.
