Sheng Shiwu stared at Gu Jiaojiao without a word, a flicker of pain in his eyes.
Gu Jiaojiao and Su Shuochi exchanged a glance. 'Old Three usually runs over happily when he sees us. What's going on with him today?'
Su Shuochi shook his head, showing he didn't know either. He gestured with his eyes for them to go over and take a look.
The couple walked up to Sheng Shiwu and saw that his face was ashen.
His forehead was covered in a cold sweat, and he had bitten his lip so hard it was bleeding.
A wave of worry washed over Grandpa Gu, and he quickly asked, "Old Three, what on earth is wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Sheng Shiwu remained silent, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white.
Su Shuochi turned to Gu Jiaojiao. "Honey, should we take him to the hospital?"
But Sheng Shiwu suddenly shook his head, his voice trembling and hoarse. "No, don't. I just got back from the hospital."
