Her palms were slick with sweat and her mouth was incredibly dry. Without a second thought, she drank all the water in her hand.
But who was Gu Jiaojiao? With her incredible hearing, she had heard every word Su Yumo said to her lackey outside.
She never liked to take food or drink from strangers—if for no other reason than she found it unsanitary. She had poured that cup of water into her dimensional space.
Gu Jiaojiao smirked mockingly, then pressed a hand to her forehead. "Why do I feel... so dizzy..."
Su Yumo saw her eyes glaze over before she shut them and fell stiffly onto the soft couch.
"Gu Jiaojiao, you idiot. Weren't you so arrogant before? So good at pretending to be gentle to win everyone over? Let's see how you'll keep up the act after tonight! Let's see how beautiful you'll be then!"
Su Yumo let out a sinister laugh, still muttering curses under her breath. But in the next second, the smile froze on her lips.
