The Clan Leader's mate jumped in surprise. "What's wrong with you? Can't you control your drooling, just like the tribe's elders?"
The Clan Leader chuckled, wiping the moisture from the corner of his mouth. "Well, this food made from Sharp Horned Beast Eggs smells pretty amazing, huh?"
The Clan Leader's mate tilted her chin up proudly. "Of course. Wu Yue was the one who discovered this recipe."
She then leaned close to the Clan Leader and whispered, "If I had known our tribe would have such an amazing young female, I wouldn't have let our son get mated so early."
'Better not,' the Clan Leader secretly pursed his lips. 'Let's not let our son ruin a fine young female like her.'
But seeing the look on his mate's face, the wise and mighty Clan Leader knew better and swallowed his unspoken complaints.
'Honestly, you have to pick your battles. Right now, the most important thing is to just agree with my mate.'
