She looked down in confusion but saw nothing. Puzzled, she lifted her foot and saw some unknown yellow substance stuck to the sole.

Could these be the unknown yellow particles Yuan Lang had just mentioned?
And by the looks of it, she had already crushed them. A yellow liquid mixed with some of the cave's dirt was stuck to her Beast Skin boots, and she couldn't scrape it off no matter how many times she tried.
'Probably just some eggs laid by a small insect.'
Although she hadn't seen any insects in the cave, Wu Yue was still very cautious. She took a torch and scorched every nook and cranny of the cave, inside and out, before she finally felt at ease.
