Ever since she saved Uncle Dashi and Shi Lin, their family had been incredibly warm and grateful whenever they saw her, refusing to hear otherwise.
Uncle Dashi smiled and wiped off a wooden stump in the courtyard. "Have a seat. I'll go get you some fruit to eat."
Before Wu Yue could refuse, he had already disappeared into the kitchen.
A moment later, he came out with two bright red fruits. They were still dotted with water, clearly having just been washed.
Wu Yue accepted them with a faint smile. "Looks like I've just come over to freeload."
Hearing this, Uncle Dashi let out a hearty laugh. "I'd be thrilled if you did!"
With that, he looked at Wu Yue. "You just said you needed that boy, Shi Lin, to help you with something?"
He pounded his chest. "It's the same if you ask me for help. Don't let that boy Shi Lin's youth fool you—he's not as strong as me. I'm a Beastman Warrior, you know.
