I have to say, the plot of *Black Mist* was actually quite good.
Especially the part with the infighting.
They tried to kill their "useless" companions, reducing their numbers to conserve more supplies.
But they couldn't just kill people brazenly in front of everyone, lest the male lead, the ship's pilot, and the female lead, the ship's mechanic, see them.
So they resorted to all sorts of insidious methods to make their companions' deaths look like accidents.
And after their companions died, they even used the bodies to produce a batch of nutrient liquid.
Although that group was fighting viciously behind the scenes, they all tacitly hid the truth from the male and female leads. They didn't even tell them where the nutrient liquid came from.
After all, anyone could die except for the pilot and the mechanic. Otherwise, how would they ever leave that hellish place?
In the end, everyone else died, leaving only the male and female leads alive.
