Vera Xavier gave a meaningful smile and nodded in agreement. As the two of them reached the door, they saw Nathaniel Nathan's car parked there, with him leaning against it.
The moment Cara Preston saw Nathaniel Nathan, her eyes lit up. She hurried over to greet him, "Nathan, good morning!"
Nathaniel Nathan didn't even glance at her, speaking directly to Vera Xavier. "Get in. I'll take you to school."
Vera Xavier hesitated for a moment, but Cara Preston had already shamelessly pulled open the car door and gotten in. She then said sweetly to Nathaniel Nathan, "Nathan, thank you so much for coming all this way to take me to school."
Nathaniel Nathan was a man of good breeding, but that didn't mean he had a good temper. He had gotten up extra early to wait here, wanting some time alone with Vera Xavier. 'Who the hell does this Cara Preston think she is?'
After getting into the driver's seat, he said in a cold voice, "Get out!"
