Vera Xavier pouted and comforted herself with the thought that she was still young and had plenty of room to grow. After all, in her previous life, her chest had been quite impressive.
Vera Xavier then thought she must be going crazy. 'Nathaniel Nathan only made one little comment. Why am I having such a big reaction?'
She shook her head, pushed open the door, and went home.
A special exam had been arranged for her today, so she got out of school a little later than usual. On top of that, she had lingered for a while with Nathaniel Nathan. By the time she got home, Zachary Preston was surprisingly already back from work. He was in the kitchen chopping bones for soup, and Rona Langdon was washing vegetables. Seeing Vera enter, Rona immediately rolled her eyes at her.
Vera Xavier greeted Zachary Preston and carried her schoolbag into her room. Before she even had a chance to unpack it, she heard Zachary Preston say cheerfully, "Nathaniel, you're here! Quick, have a seat!"
