"Thank you for liking me." Vera Xavier didn't dare to look at him as she spoke. She would never have said such a thing to him on any other day.
After seeing Sheldon Caldwell today, she found herself involuntarily recalling many events from her past life. Nathaniel Nathan had been a part of so many of them, a fact she'd never noticed before. Now that she thought about it, she realized it, and it made her appreciate the depth of his affection for her even more.
Nathaniel Nathan was a little surprised she had said that, so he asked, "You said I like you. Well, do you like me?"
