Zachary Preston had been swamped with work recently and was constantly being hassled by Rona Langdon. He was under immense pressure, already at his breaking point. His nerves were stretched taut, and when they angered him like this, his previously hidden medical condition flared up instantly.
Rona Langdon and Cara Preston were both shocked. Cara Preston asked, "Dad, what's wrong?"
Lying on the floor with a pale face, Zachary Preston didn't answer. She reached out to check his breathing; it was faint. She turned her head, looking at Rona Langdon in a panic, and said, "Mom, something seems wrong with Dad. Shouldn't we take him to the hospital?"
